MRB built for ₱130M

CEBU CITY (Feb. 21, 2015)Filinvest Land, Inc. turned over to the new owners the condominium units at the fourth building it had constructed at One Oasis Cebu, an enclave of medium-rise buildings (MRB) with resort-like ambiance and facilities in Kasambagan, this city today.

The turn-over of the P130 million building came on the heels of the completion of the resort-themed amenities for the subdivision that include a clubhouse, a covered basketball court and swimming pools, and as FLI prepares to erect the fifth building.

Located adjacent to the open fields of Cebu Country Club, the One Oasis Cebu project is designed for 10 five to 10 storey MRB’s with 60 percent of the 3.7-hectare land preserved as open spaces, according to project development officer Archie M. Igot.

FLI has so far spent P1 billion to complete the land development, the first four buildings and the resort-themed amenities, Igot disclosed, adding that the company has earmarked P2.9 billion for the remaining buildings and further developments.

New homeowner Alex Alasco joined FLI area general manager Allan G. Alfon in cutting the ceremonial ribbon to formally open building no. 4, also referred to in the grand plan as Garden Suites no. 3, only 14 months since its groundbreaking last December 2013.

Alasco and his wife, the former Maria Linda Gutierrez, led homeowners of the 129 units in the new building in receiving their symbolic keys from Alfon and Igot. The couple who are based in Balamban bought their unit for their four children who study at universities in Cebu City.

All of close to 600 units at the four completed buildings at One Oasis Cebu have been fully sold out and already turned over to their buyers. The first three are now 80 to 90 percent occupied, while 20, including the Alasco family, have now occupied their units in the new building.

Should none of their sons use their unit after college, Alasco said they plan to have it rented out so they could generate income. “With the escalating appreciation of properties here at One Oasis, we are pleased to have made a good investment,” he said.

FLI is set for the groundbreaking this summer of building no. 5 that has a whole side facing the fairways of Cebu Country Club and the other facing the enclave’s amenities area similar to building no. 4.
