MINGLANILLA, Cebu (June 29, 2015) — Residents at Midori Plains in Tungkop of this town celebrated yesterday the feast of San José María Escrivá de Balaguer.
They gathered at the cluhbouse of their subdivision developed by Cebu Landmasters, Inc. Its CEO Jose R. Soberano III (left in photo below) graced the affair and gave a message that drew inspiration from the life and works of his patron saint who Pope John Paul II canonized in 2002.
Escrivá is the founder of Opus Dei (Work of God), an organization of lay people and priests dedicated to the teaching that everyone is called to holiness and that ordinary life is a path to sanctity.
