PORO, Camotes, Cebu (Aug. 28, 2016) — Over a thousand residents of Poro town in Camotes Islands benefited from a mission that Johndorf Ventures Corp., a developer with projects in Metro Cebu, sent here today.
The mission came with free services for adults and children, as medical consultations, tooth extractions, legal advice, haircut, massage, and a seminar on child protection.
JVC employees and volunteers from Visayan Nazarene Bible College gathered the children for feeding, a storybook reading session, some parlor games, and a film showing.
They also handed new school supplies to the children, some of whom joined them in planting at least 200 seedlings of forest trees in Barangay Esperanza.
The Office of the Presidential Assistant for the Visayas supported the mission and coordinated the participation of military servicemen under the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Central Command.
They included elements from 7th Regional Community Defense Group (7RCDG) of the Philippine Army based in Camp Lapu-Lapu and the Naval Forces Central (Navforcen) based in Canjulao, Mactan.
The Army Reserve Command (ARESCOM) also mobilized volunteers from the 1901st Ready Reserve Infantry Brigade and the Cebu Joint Ready Reserve Battalion.
Johndorf organized and led the mission also supported by 360 Pharmacy as part of its corporate social responsibility program.
Over the last 10 years, the company has developed in Cebu at least 14 subdivisions for economic to middle-class families, including two current projects in Mactan — Portville Prime and Navona, and more in northern and southern Mindanao.
It holds office at the 14th floor of Ayala Life – FGU Center across Ayala Center Cebu, and may be accessed at http://www.johndorfventures.com.ph/.
